Storyline:
When Mala Coutinho, the sole owner of a 200 year old Portugese villa is stabbed to death in her bed on the night of Christmas Eve, junior cop Sanket Salelkar, gets the first murder case of his career thanks to his boss being out of town. Pushed into a corner with his career under threat from his boss, Sanket convinces a very reluctant Sarla an ex-forensic investigator to help him solve the case by promising to get their over-inquisitive mother off her back.
The crime thriller, Murder in Agonda opens with Sanket Salelkar, being criticised by his mother. A fan of crime shows, she ridicules him for not working on any high-profile case. So, when he learns about a mysterious murder case of a wealthy woman, Mala Coutinho, he feels overjoyed. He goes to the crime scene and questions the family with the help of his sister and forensic expert Sarla, who has just resigned from her job and returned to Goa. Each family member in the house, where she was found dead, has their own version of what happened on the night she died, revealing several dark truths and twists and turns, leaving the investigators even more confused.
